Following his immense 'West On Mars' EP on Bedrock last autumn, Guy J returns to his own Lost & Found imprint with tw absolutely stunning pieces of journeyman techno. Inspired by the classic trance sounds that he grew up to, Guy J has dug super-deep and returned with something super-special. Musical, emotional, hypnotic: both tracks will take you to places you've not explored in years. 'Aurora' hits with chunky drum arrangement that's reminiscent of Deep Dish at the height of their powers; deep, driving and wide enough to carry the weight of the pristine synths, humanised rhythmic textures and melodic weaves, this keeps building until the very end of its epic tenure. Beautiful.'Airborne', meanwhile, is the full trip: almost 10 minutes of locked-in beauty as we glide further and further into a state of unblinkered positivity. Building us up with precision tension, Guy doesn't even ntroduce the life-affirming riff until 4.30 but by jove you know about it when he does.
